The Stork Exchange is an owner-operated, upscale
consignment store located in Westbrook, Connecticut. The
Stork Exchange is truly "Your Super Consignment
Store". The store carries Women’s Clothing, Designer
Handbags, Jewelry, Maternity, Children’s Clothing, Baby
Equipment, Nursery Furniture and Toys. The Stork
Exchange was located in Old Saybrook for 10 years before
moving to its new location in January 2006. The new
store is beautiful and spacious. It is conveniently
located on Route 1 and is easily accessible from Exits
65 or 66 off Interstate 95. The store, which is located
across from the Westbrook Post Office, has its own large
parking lot. The Stork Exchange is very kid friendly and
boasts an enclosed play area, painted with a fun beach
theme, complete with a train table, kitchen set &
TV/VCR. The store is well organized and filled with an
ever-changing supply of "clean & current"
merchandise. |

Important Children's Clothing Consignment Update!!! |
Because of huge
drop-offs for
Children's Clothing,
we will
be shortening the
intake times for
each season. We
will be able to
accept Children's
Clothing Drop-offs
from the 1st to the
7th of a drop-off
month. We ask that
if you are dropping
after the 5th of
the month to call
first to make sure
we are still
accepting
clothing. If we
have reached our
maximum capacity by
the 7th, we will
not be able to
accept any more
Children's Clothing
for that season. We
will do our best to
take clothing the
full 7 days, but it
is unlikely that we
will be able to.
The Stork Exchange
appreciates
everyone's
enthusiasm for
consigning but we
are trying to set
policies &
procedures that are
fair to the majority
( we have over 4500
consignors now! )
and allow the store
to operate more
efficiently. We do
not want to limit
the number of
containers that you
can drop because
many of you do drop
more than 1
container and it is
great stuff!
However, we do ask
that people who are
receiving back a
large number of "no
thank you's", please
take the time to
screen your items a
little better. This
will help cut down
our processing time
and will enable us
to take containers
for a longer time
period. We are also
stressing that we
are a name brands store and will not
be able to take for
sale the following
brands ( even if
they are brand new
), Circo, Cherokee,
Faded Glory, Okie
Dokie, Old Navy
Outlet, Kid
Connection and any
other discount
brand. There is
simply no resale
value in these
brands.
The Consignor Update
Board will reflect
the new drop-off
dates and cautions
for late drops. As
always, thank you
for consigning with

Exchange. We are
always available to
answer your
consigning questions
& hopefully make the
process a little
easier for you. We
apologize for the
strict drop-off
policy for
Children's Clothing
and remind you that
we always accept
Toys, Equipment and
Furniture. Women's
Clothing and
Maternitywear are
also accepted
seasonally for a
longer time period.

The Stork Exchange puts out more than 300 new items each
day.
All items are clean, complete, checked for safety recalls
and priced to sell!!
Customers can expect to buy name
brand, very gently used products at a fraction of retail
prices. In addition, we encourage people to reconsign
items as soon as they outgrow them. This is definitely a
win-win situation. |
